What it was
VendorReady was a 2025 attempt at a B2B onboarding tool that took the most painful parts of bringing a new vendor online — W‑9s, bank account information, certificates of insurance — and consolidated them into a single shareable link. The intended buyer was finance and ops teams tired of chasing PDFs over email, reconciling them by hand, and then realizing the COI had expired three months ago.
What was built
- One-link vendor onboarding flow that vendors could finish in minutes
- Tokenized bank account collection via Stripe and Plaid (no raw account numbers stored)
- W‑9 collection and storage
- COI upload with expiration tracking and renewal reminders
- Auto email nudges for stalled vendors so AP teams stopped having to chase
- Status tracker for the AP/ops team to see where every vendor stood
- QuickBooks and Xero sync
