What it was
New Collar was a consulting and design firm that ran for years, focused on the "new collar" middle of the market — businesses big enough to need real software but too small to staff their own engineering team. It served small and mid‑size businesses across industries with CRM rollouts, custom internal tooling, and the unglamorous but high-value work of getting a real company's software stack to actually function as one.
What it did
- CRM implementation, customization, and migration
- Custom internal software for ops, scheduling, and back-office workflows
- Web and mobile application development
- Software stack audits and rationalization for SMBs that had outgrown their tools
- Long-running engagements that often turned into ongoing fractional CTO work
Technologies
Engagements ranged across whatever the client already ran. The most common stacks across years of projects:
Salesforce
HubSpot
Node.js
Python
React / Next.js
React Native
AWS
Status
New Collar is not currently operational. The body of work and client relationships are preserved.
